OUR STORY & PHILOSOPHY

 

With a dream to create functional art and a wish to reduce waste, ora was formed.  Reusing and repurposing to create new pieces and reveal the unexpected beauty in discarded materials.

As an art student I began to experiment with shoe repair offcuts, a surplus material of my day job of cobbling.  From there I have diversified media, using other remnants such as perspex and metal and I’m always on the lookout for other resources to save and reuse in new ways.

I make each item individually, creating miniature art pieces for you wear and enjoy.  Each piece is unique and due to the nature of the materials there may be irregularities which adds to its distinct style.
